BELLA VINO Wine Bar and Tapas

Bella Vino Wine Bar and Tapas is the perfect spot to sip some amazing wines and taste some elaborate tapas plates.  The tastings are always unique and never disappoint.  The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.  Our favorite spot is in the back room, or in the upstairs or even on the patio on a beautiful evening.
The two owners are Jackie Miller and Ashley Morrison who along with the chef's, Austin and Michelle do such a fabulous job of making the whole evening an experience you will not forget.  

We have had the pleasure of going to the special "Valentine's Dinner" and to more recently, the Tapas Tasting Thursday's!   This past Thursday, in May, the theme was "A Walk through the Garden"  and June's Tapa's Tasting is themed, "Wine on Wine" and yes, we have already made our reservation.

Seared Tuna Stemperata $9  Ahi Tuna, field greens, arugala, mint, green & Kalamata olives, pickled red onions, roasted red pepper, capers, golden raisins, lemon oregano vinaigrette
Fried Asparagus Salad $8  Fried Asparagus, artichoke hearts, spinach, arugala, carrot, orange, mozzarella, fried artichoke vinaigrette and saffron aioli.
Chorizo Stuffed Dates  $6 for 3  Dates, sausage, bacon, maple syrup

Cajun Pan Seared Tilapia with garlic shrimp sauce  $12   Tilapia, roasted garlic mashed potato, shrimp and tomatoes

Gemelli Broccolini  $8   Broccolini, roasted mushroom, parmesan and fried egg.

Triple Chocolate "Flourless Brownie" $7

Valentine's Day Menu
First Course:
Choice of :  Rosemary Smoked Chicken or Mussels with Chorizo  (no photo's available)

Second Course:
Kale Caesar,  Kale, quinoa, mandarin orange, toasted almonds, Caesar Aioli
Mixed Greens with fennel, carrots, radish, balsamic vinaigrette
Seared Tuna with olive bread pudding, asparagus, salmariglio, beurre blanc
Crab Topped Sirloin with broccolini, garlic mashed potatoes, remoulade, romesco
Beet Risotto  with Goat Cheese, herb roasted peanuts  (This was my favorite dish of the night!)
Chocolate Pate with pistachio brittle and raspberry coulis

Gooey Butter Parfait with berries and Champagne Mousse

Pan Seared Duck Breast with pepper and mushroom oat pilaf, blueberry gastrique, grapefruit
3rd Course:

Sponge Cake with Berries and Mango

OCEANO bistro - Chesterfield,MO

  Oceano is St. Louis' premiere fresh fish bistro.  Chef Dave works in partnership with fishermen and farmers to bring innovative and fresh cuisine to the St. Louis area.  Oceano offers a beautiful dining experience that will bring a special feeling to your evening out.  From the owners (The Hebson's ), to the Chef ( Dave), the bartender (Corey) and our handsome waiter (Nick).  We where in for a fabulous dining experience that even included a elegant presentation of our appetizers that were presented to us at the bar.   The bar is large and designed to be conversation friendly.  It is the perfect spot for a impromptu gathering for Happy Hour.  Which seemed to be very popular judging from the friendly folks around the bar.
Wonderful specials for cocktails, wine and appetizers were available.
  The outside patio is one of the best and most tranquil outside dining areas in St. Louis.
